Dr. Amirkiai has been living in the Bay Area for over 35 years. He completed his undergraduate studies in Applied Microbiology and worked at Genentec Corporation for one year prior to pursuing podiatry. He received his Doctorate Degree in Podiatric Medicine with honors from California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco. He completed his podiatric surgical residency program at Department of Veterans Administration Medical Center in San Francisco and Kaiser Peremanente in San Diego where he received extensive training in podiatric surgery.
Dr. Amirkiai is a board certified podiatrist with 20 years experience in conservative and surgical treatment of foot and ankle ailments and injuries. He has been an active staff member at El Camino Hospital since 1993. He had the privilege of serving as the Vice Chief and Chief of the Podiatry Department at El Camino Hospital for 6 years. He is currently Vice President of Santa Clara Podiatric Medical Association, active member of American Podiatric Medical Association and California Podiatric Medical Association. He has also been active in the local schools and community service programs.
